Robert Mugabe With Wife & Children at Lavish 91st Birthday Party [Photos]

The Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, celebrated his 91st birthday with a lavish party that was attended by his wife and children along with thousands of party faithfuls. The celebration was held at the famed Victoria Falls resort, the foremost luxury hotel in the country. 2 elephants and a lion were reportedly slaughtered for the feast, which held on the hotel’s golf course.

Photos show several huge birthday cakes on display and at a point during the party, assisted by his wife Grace, the Zimbabwean leader, who was surrounded by family members, cut some of the cakes. He also threw 91 balloons into the air while school pupils and entertainers performed.

Robert Mugabe Falls Down From Podium, Journalists Forced To Delete Pictures

90-year-old Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, is reported to have fallen down the steps while walked down from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return from Ethiopia. Mugabe appeared to miss a step and toppled when he left the raised lectern at the airport on Wednesday afternoon, according to several witnesses, who insisted on anonymity because of security concerns.

His aides quickly helped him up and escorted him to his limousine which sped away, they said. Some press photographers who captured the fall said they were forced to delete their pictures by security personnel. Mugabe's spokesperson was not immediately available for comment. Experimental Ebola Vaccine Ready - Canada Offers 1000 Doses To WHO For Africa

The Canadian Public Health Agency has offered to release 1000 dose of a made-in-Canada experimental Ebola vaccine to WHO for use in African countries battling Ebola.

The vaccine known as VSV-EBOV has never been tested on humans but has been shown to be effective in the treatment of the disease in animals.

In a statement released yesterday August 12th, the Canadian Health Minister Rona Ambrose said the World Health Organization's Director general, Margaret Chan, has approved of the donation.

"I was pleased to offer the experimental vaccine developed by Canadian researchers as a global resource to help fight this outbreak," she said, adding that between 800 and 1,000 doses would be donated to the WHO.

American Teenager Faces Life In Prison For Molesting Kenyan Children While On Mission Trip

19 year old Matthew Durham faces a possible life in prison sentence after authorities say they learned that he allegedly molested several children in an orpganage home while on an African mission trip.

According to KTLA5, the suspect was volunteering at a Kenyan children’s home when he allegedly raped and molested a number of young children.

Court records indicate that Matthew Durham confessed to raping several young girls, forcing some boys to perform oral sex on him and even making other kids watch.

“This is a young man in our community that made choices to exploit children in an orphanage,” said United States Attorney Sanford Coats. “It’s a true tragedy all the way around.”

World Cup Fan Who Got L'Oreal Contract Loses Out Because She Hunted Animals in Africa

A 17 year old Belgian football fan who landed a L'Oreal contract after she was spotted cheering her team at the World Cup has lost the opportunity after the above picture of her hunting deer in Africa surfaced from her Facebook page.

Axelle Despiegelaere who is a fan of big game hunting, posed near the dead and bloodied Gemsbok antelope during a trip to Africa.

Though she said the picture was taken over a year ago, thousands of animal rights activists petitioned to L'oreal and their spokesperson officially confirmed to the Independent they have cut ties with her.

Axelle's pictures from the World Cup had gone viral and she was dubbed "World's most beautiful football fan". See the picture that attracted L'Oreal in the first place below...

A West African King, Mansa Musa of Mali, Listed as the Richest Man in History

Mansa Musa I, a West African King of the 14th century, has been named the richest person in history in a new inflation-adjusted list of the world’s 25 wealthiest people (above is a video game representation of the king which shows what he may have looked like in the 1300's).
